Joshua works in an abstract style, in Oil and Epoxy resins. His work is invariably colorful and pleasing to the eye, exuding a positive energy. In his works lie deeper questions about the nature of art and the nature of consciousness. In particular, Rogers is interested in the puzzle of agency in creation, exploring how it is that a being brings forth an extended creation into this world. Also, importantly, can art be used as a way for expression by the un- or sub-conscious.
